Ignore Plugin Updates

MainWP Plugin allows you to "ignore" a plugin update. This means that a plugin update won't show in the available updates list (Updates page and the Update Overview widget) nor the Status column of the Manage Sites table. Plugins can be ignored in 2 ways:
  • Globally - Ignoring a plugin globally means that the ignored plugin will be ignored on all connected Child Sites
  • Per Child Site - a plugin can be ignored on just one or a couple of child sites

Ignore a Plugin on All Child Sites

  1. Login in to your MainWP Dashboard
  2. Go to the MainWP > Updates > Plugins Updates page
    1. Locate the View updates per option and select “Plugin/Theme”
    2. Locate the plugin that you want to ignore on all your child sites
    3. Click the Ignore Globally button that is placed in the corresponding row

Un-ignore a Globally Ignored Plugin

  1. Login in to your MainWP Dashboard
  2. Go to the MainWP > Plugins > Ignored Updates page
  3. In the Globally Ignored Plugins table
    1. Locate the plugin that you want to un-ignore
    2. Click the Allow button in the corresponding row

Ignore a Single Plugin on a Single Child Site

  1. Login in to your MainWP Dashboard
  2. Go to the MainWP > Updates > Plugins Updates page
    1. Locate the View updates per option and select “Site”
    2. Locate the Child Site where you need to ignore a Plugin update and expand the row
    3. Locate the Plugin that you want to ignore
    4. Click the Ignore Update button

Un-ignore an Ignored Plugin

  1. Login in to your MainWP Dashboard
  2. Go to the MainWP > Plugins > Ignored Updates page
  3. In the Per Site Ignored Plugins table
    1. Locate the Plugin that you want to un-ignore
    2. Click the Allow button in the corresponding row
